The grading and attendance policies are governed by the EVSC policy on co-curricular activities.
GRADES
Students will be given a 20 point daily grade. Each day students will have the opportunity to earn up to 20 points. Per EVSC, average student performance is 19/20 points. Students who go above and beyond on any given day will earn 20/20 points. Students who are below average expectations on any given day will earn a grade less than 19/20. If this is to occur, comments are posted in the grade book for both the student and parents to access.
I encourage students to check their grades daily/weekly to ensure that they are on target in class. Ms. Arnett will list information that may need to be improved based on individual student performance. Examples include posture, to much talking, and being engaged.
REQUIRED PERFORMANCE ATTIRE
All students are required to have a blue TMS music department polo tucked in, which is made available for purchase at the beginning of each year. Students will also need access to black shoes and khaki pants.
(Boys: black dress shoes preferred; Girls: flats, heels, boots are acceptable)
Students will also be required to wear blue jeans and their Spring Sing shirt for the Spring Sing Performance at the end of the school year. Spring Sing shirts will be made available for purchase in April.
